Altus Active Value ("AAV") is focused on catalysing value in the fledgling resource sector. AAV is a team of experienced mining sector professionals with track records in mine finding, mine building and the sale of mining assets and companies.

The Company is growing a portfolio of actively managed publicly and privately held special situation resource investments and giving our shareholders a unique investment portfolio. We believe that an actively managed portfolio provides a unique and attractive investment approach and is a natural hedge in today's volatile and uncertain markets.

Investments

We use our expertise to identify, rigorously analyse and invest in situations where the market has, in our view, mispriced the value of fledgling resource companies (capitalised at less than £20m). Where appropriate we seek to assist in catalysing a turnaround in the fortunes of our portfolio companies and to ultimately restore value to shareholders.

Our active value approach includes:

• improving market awareness and corporate image;
• designing and implementing a clear strategy;
• seconding our technical team and capabilities; and
• providing a platform to reduce corporate overheads.

Resource companies with whom we work typically have the following criteria:

• Are fledgling in size typically valued at less than £20 million;
• Present a special situation with significant potential for value creation; and
• Existing shareholders are supportive of having a proactive investor on the register.

At AAV we draw upon a wide range of in house technical capabilities, including senior and junior geologists, GIS platforms, operational management as well as day to day administrative functions. Our industry network also allows us to consider potential JVs and M&A opportunities, as well as sale or other exit strategies for shareholders.
